Who this is for
Brain ears is a personal tool used only by its owner, Daniel Petrov. It has no other users and no public sign-up. The only Google accounts that ever sign in to it are the owner's own two mailboxes.
What access it asks for
One permission: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly. This lets the app read messages. It cannot send, draft, modify, label or delete anything, and it cannot read other Google services.
What it does with the data
It copies the text of incoming and outgoing messages, with sender, recipient, date and attachment names, to a database on a private server owned by the owner. The owner uses these copies to search his own correspondence and to be reminded of requests from his clients. Obvious secrets such as passwords are masked before anything is stored. Spam, trash, promotions and social notifications are not stored.
Sharing
The data is not shared with, sold to, or transferred to anyone. It is not used for advertising and not used to train any model that is available to others. The owner's own assistant software may process it on the owner's behalf, only for the owner's purposes.
Storage and security
The server accepts only key-based logins. Database backups are encrypted, and the keys to open them are kept offline by the owner.
Retention and deletion
Copies are kept as long as the owner needs them. The owner can delete them at any time and can revoke the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
